1999 to 2006 3D/International, East region, Washington, D.C., Orlando,
FL., Miami, Fl.
Vice President. I held the position of Vice President and Project Executive for the development and construction of a $130 million dollar destination resort hotel/ casino/ golf club in New Mexico. This facility is a four star resort with a convention center including meeting rooms and a ballroom with seating for 1800 people. This facility also includes a world class spa and a separate Golf Club structure surrounded by an 18 hole Scott Miller designed golf course. The hotel includes 230 rooms, each of which is a minimum 430sf. with extremely high in finishes. Formally I was Vice President of Construction for all company “at risk†construction projects for the east coast region, which covers five east coast regional offices. Before that, I was the Operations Manager, directing the $ 750 million dollar renovation of the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. In this position, I directly administered a twenty-five member team whom, in turn, managed a work force of over 500 individuals. These renovations are part of a twenty-year redevelopment program that refurbishes Wedges 2-5. Formerly with 3D/I, I held the position of Executive Program Manager for Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, FL. In this position, I managed approximately 100 people in design and construction efforts to provide $ 638 million dollars worth of educational facilities. This program began with the development of a process and procedure manual outlining each position’s responsibilities and job description. This was followed by a facility condition assessment of 161 schools from which deficiencies were developed into project scope, and then validated by architectural and engineering firms to develop final construction documents. These documents were then bid out to construction management firms and managed through completion and close out. Utilizing best in class project management techniques, cost at completion of this program generated approximately $ 38 million dollars in savings to the owner.
